One of my favourite places is St Ives in Cornwall. The cables on the St Ives bay shawl remind me of the waves that roll into the bay.the little nups are the ridges in the sand that are left in the sand when the tide goes out of the bay.
This is the prefect shawl for that precious skein of fingering weight yarn. the shawl is constructed from tip to ti[ with a garter stitch body and a cable edge that is knit as you go, so no picking up stiches. Its constructions means it is also easy to adjust in size, or Gauge. for details see in the variations section.
I also recommend you weigh the yarn first and use half before starting the decrease section.
The patterns are professionally printed in booklet form on two thickness of card, ensuring they stand up to normal use.
