The four Sundays of Advent was so popular last year, I have planned another this year.The month of December is a busy time in the run up to Christmas, therefore this will be a gorgeous treat for yourself or a wonderful Christmas/Solstice gift for a creative friend. Advent this year begins on Sunday 1st December.

This years theme is a Nordic Christmas. Do you love Christmas as much as they do in the Nordics? That is: Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.This is the homeland of Santa Claus, where there's plenty of glögg ("mulled wine") to go around, and colourful lights twinkle all around you. Even the sky shimmers with the northern lights! So you can't help but get into the Nordic Christmas spirit. Christmas is a time when we often think of the Nordic countries with it's snowy scenes, vast forests and cosy attitude towards to the winter.  Nordic designs, cosy knitwear and the style of living here is more often cherished in the colder months and especially around Christmas.

This box will contain 4 sock patterns and 100g 425m super wash merino/nylon yarn to knit each pair of socks, some of the socks might have a small fairisle design and that pattern will include a mini skein. The box will also include an exclusive project bag To store your project in. The yarn will also be suitable for other projects if you don't like knitting socks.

The yarn and pattern will be wrapped and labelled for you to open on each Sunday in advent and will also include a little gift.

The yarn is  hand painted using environmentally friendly dyes , and is sourced from either the UK or South America.
 I use non-toxic acid dyes which has very little waste as all of the dyes are exhausted into yarns before any water is poured away. I use food grade citric acid as setting agent, and rinse with water, to maintain a low impact on the environment. I take care to provide colourfastness, but some bleeding may occur in the first wash.

The advents will be mailed at the beg of November or sooner to allow time to arrive in time for the first  Sunday of Advent.

Because  some of the gifts are hand made The number of Advents will be limited. All parcels will be mailed tracked 48 .
